Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is used to address low testosterone levels in men. It can be administered in various forms, including the following:

  • Intramuscular Injections: Testosterone can be administered through injections into the gluteal muscles
  • Topical gels or patches: Testosterone can be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream by using gels or patches. These are usually applied to the skin, usually on the back, abdomen, thighs, or upper arms.
  • Testosterone Pellets: Pellets are small implants placed in your hip or buttock area. These release a steady, low dose of testosterone over several months, from 3 to 6 months.

Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormone replacement therapy involves replacing or supplementing hormones that the body is not producing in adequate amounts.

In men, this treatment aims to address the following hormones:

  • Testosterone hormone, when at low levels, causes symptoms such as fatigue, reduced libido, and mood changes.
  • Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) plays a crucial role in regulating sperm production in men. In some instances of infertility or low sperm count, FSH hormone therapy can help to optimize your reproductive health.
  • Luteinizing hormone (LH) stimulates testosterone production in the testes. Abnormal LH levels can impact testosterone production. In certain cases of low testosterone, LH is addressed to optimize hormonal balance.
  • Cortisol is a stress hormone that regulates metabolism and immune system response. Cortisol may need to be upregulated in cases of adrenal insufficiency or dysfunction. Cortisol is essential for managing stress, maintaining energy levels, and supporting overall health.
  • Thyroid hormones (thyroxine - T4 and triiodothyronine - T3) regulate energy production and metabolism through a whole series of physiologic reactions. Thyroid replacement therapy may be warranted in the setting of suboptimal thyroid function. Conversely, thyroid suppression may be warranted with an overactive thyroid, a condition referred to as hyperthyroidism.

Weight Loss Management

Our personalized approach to weight management emphasizes adopting healthy, sustainable habits into your lifestyle. These include following a balanced diet, exercising, and avoiding habits like smoking or heavy drinking.

For every specific case, our team works closely to develop a tailored plan, taking into consideration your finances, lifestyle, family, and medical variabilities. Besides conservative treatments, we offer supplementary therapies to enhance your weight loss journey, such as:

  • Appetite suppressants
  • Supplements
  • Nutraceuticals
  • Food detox programs

Mental Health

Hormonal imbalances do not only cause physical symptoms; they can also have profound effects on your mood, cognitive function, and overall mental well-being.

Fluctuations in hormones such as testosterone, estrogen, thyroid hormones, and cortisol can lead to the development of the following issues:

  • Anxiety and depression: Imbalances in cortisol can contribute to the development of anxiety and depressive symptoms
  • Lethargy and fatigue: Hormonal imbalances can disrupt sleep patterns and energy levels, leading to chronic tiredness, lethargy, and brain fog.
  • Mania and mood swings: When there are drastic imbalances in hormonal levels, you may begin to experience wild mood swings or episodes of mania.

Therapies like hormone replacement can lead to both physical enhancements and improved mental health.

Sexual Health Injections: P-shot

P-shot injections help treat erectile dysfunction by using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) to help men achieve stronger, firmer, longer-lasting erections. As men age, it is common to experience erectile dysfunction (ED) due to aging tissue and reduced blood flow to the penis.

The proteins present in the PRP promote healthy blood flow, helping the restricted blood vessels to unclog. This results in enhanced sensitivity, stronger erections, and improved sexual performance.

Joint Pain Injections

Joint pain injections work by inserting a variety of helpful substances directly into your joints or the surrounding ligaments and tendons. They can help reduce inflammation and pain in areas like your knees, hands, feet, hips, knees, or spine.

Some of the most common joint pain injections include:

  • Cortisone shot: Also called steroid injections, cortisone shots help reduce inflammation and pain directly inside the joint.
  • Knee gel injections: These injections mimic the normal cushioning fluid inside your joints with a substance called hyaluronic acid. Knee gel injections work best for knee pain, and effects usually last 6 to 12 months.
  • PRP injections and cell therapy: These involve taking a small draw of your blood to then isolate and concentrate the platelets. These are later injected into your joints, ligaments, or tendons, relieving pain and pressure.

Preventative Care

Our comprehensive approach to well-being equips you with valuable knowledge about your health and habits needed to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

By combining habit modifications, medical intervention, and regular monitoring, we can help you address the risk factors associated with conditions such as:

By mitigating poor habits early on, we are able to slow down any symptoms before they develop into serious health issues.

Hair Loss Therapy

Hair loss in men is often linked to hormonal factors, particularly with elevated levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a derivative hormone of testosterone. Elevated levels of DHT can shrink hair follicles, leading to hair thinning and loss.

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) can help regulate DHT levels. By balancing your hormonal levels, these treatments can help restore your hair density, promote new growth, and improve its retention.
